OTTAWA, July 21 (Reuters) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said he had spoken to U.S President Donald Trump on Tuesday and told reporters the two leaders had agreed to intensify trade negotiations.

Carney made the comment a day after Trump’s latest tariffs threat against Canada.

“We agreed to intensify negotiations in the coming weeks, and the team and myself look forward to doing that,” he said, adding that all options were on the table if the United States went ahead with its latest tariffs threat.
