Late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s funeral services began Tuesday after the prominent South Carolina Republican died from what appeared to be a tear in his aorta, known as an aortic dissection.

Graham served in Congress for more than three decades and was well known for his work on foreign policy. Before his death, he had returned from a trip to Turkey for a NATO summit as well as a visit to Ukraine.
His funeral services will take place in Washington, D.C., and South Carolina.

What’s Lindsey Graham’s Funeral Schedule?
Graham was honored in a Tuesday morning service in the Capitol Rotunda, a location where former presidents and other prominent Americans have also been memorialized.
An Armed Forces team carried Graham’s remains into the Capitol, where Vice President JD Vance spoke.
Another service at the Washington National Cathedral will take place at 2 p.m. President Donald Trump is expected to speak at the invitation-only service.

Where Will Graham’s South Carolina Funeral Service Be Held?
Graham’s South Carolina funeral service will be held on Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Columbia following a procession that starts at the south side of the South Carolina State House.

Following the church service, Graham’s family will hold a private burial service in Pickens County, South Carolina.
Who Will Be in Attendance?
Vance and many lawmakers attended the Capitol Rotunda service in Washington, D.C. Trump will deliver remarks at the cathedral.
Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy are expected to be in attendance at the cathedral, where Fox News’ Sean Hannity is also set to speak.
It’s possible that former presidents George W. Bush and Joe Biden will also attend the cathedral service.
