Discovery on Tuesday, \u200bsaying it would jeopardize\u00a0writers&#8217; livelihoods and threaten the health of the U.S. entertainment industry.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/officemovingamerica.com\/?p=551\">US to Launch AI and Cybersecurity Coordination Group, White House Says<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The case is \u200canother blow to Paramount&#8217;s bid to \u200cbecome a bigger rival to Netflix and Disney, a day after California and \u206011 other \u2060states sued to block the deal. While a ruling in either case \u200bwould be enough to stop the deal, Paramount will now have to deal with a double dose of legal work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Writers Guild said in its lawsuit filed in San Francisco federal court \u200bthat the deal would reduce the number of buyers in Hollywood for films and \u2060TV \u2060shows, harming its members.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cWith \u2060fewer competitors, the \u200bmerged Paramount-Warner Bros. entity would have both the incentive and the ability to lower \u200bcosts by suppressing writers\u2019 \u2060wages and reducing output.
