Here\u2019s What the U.S. Gets From the Country<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The EPA said \u200cit was proposing scaling back \u200cemissions warranty requirements and providing additional lead time before longer regulatory useful life requirements take effect.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The \u2060EPA, which \u2060noted that some 2027 medium and heavy-duty engine development programs have experienced \u200btechnical challenges, is proposing allowing manufacturers to continue to sell current products while they complete development of 2027-compliant engines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>EPA said that even with its proposed changes, the decline in smog-forming nitrogen oxides (NOx) still would be nearly \u200b90% of forecasted reductions under the Biden emission\u00a0standards.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said the existing requirements \u2060were unworkable, \u2060would drive up costs \u2060and result in \u200bfewer choices. He said the rule is estimated to save $12 billion, or as much as $6,000 per \u200btruck.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Environmental groups argue the \u2060proposed changes will increase pollution and harm public health.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cThis Trump EPA proposal to weaken vital clean air protections will mean more health harms and higher costs,\u201d said the Environmental Defense Fund in a statement. \u201cEPA should abandon this proposal and instead maintain strong pollution safeguards for new heavy-duty vehicles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/officemovingamerica.com\/?p=464\">Soccer-Pulisic Suffered Fracture, Bone Bruise in US Defeat by Belgium<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The EPA is \u2060proposing penalties for some heavy-duty diesel engines that temporarily cannot meet the Biden standards,\u00a0 \u2060while allowing sales to continue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Trump administration has taken a number of actions to reverse Biden rules to require more electric vehicles and cleaner vehicles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Last month, the EPA sent the Republican-controlled Congress landmark California vehicle emissions rules for potential repeal, its latest effort to prevent tougher state tailpipe requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Trump administration has also enacted rules making it easier for automakers to sell more gasoline-powered cars and trucks, while making it more expensive to buy EVs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The White House also significantly weakened federal tailpipe rules.
